75 YARDS SAME AS 50

100 YARDS COW BELL WILL CONCLUDE
MATCH.
THREE ROUNDS MAY BE SHOT, WITH THE BEST FOR RECORD. THREE MINUTES MAX PER ROUND. IF YOU LEAVE YOUR SHOOTNG STATION FOR ANY REASON BEFORE COMPLETION, THAT WILL BE YOUR TIME FOR THAT ROUND.

WHEN FINISHED, SHOW CLEARED GUN TO RO, INSERT EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR CHECK TIME AND GET READY TO BE A RO.We have various competitions for members and non-members.  All competitions are open to everyone and new shooters are very welcome:

Saturday Morning Plinking Competition


Competition is with .22 long rifle ammo and handguns with or without scope.  Two shooters at a time compete to shoot down 7 steel targets.  The winner of that competition wins a point.  Shooters rotate so that everyone competes with all shooters.  The winner is the one that accumulates the most points.



Fee:  $10.00 entry fee with, Top three shooters win a prize.

Lunch is provided prepared by the lovely Mrs. Massey who is an amazing cook and quite entertaining. Donations for lunch are appreciated.

What to wear:  Wear comfortable clothes like a t-shirt, jeans or long pants and closed toed shoes.  You will not be able to compete without appropriate clothes for safety.

Saturday Afternoon Bowling Pin Competition

Time:  Safety meeting 12:45  Shoot starts at 1:00 p.m.and is over around twoish.

Fee:  $10.00 entry fee with, Top three shooters win a prize.



Five pins on a steel four foot by five foot table. Two shooters have 12 shots to move the pins off the table. Auto pistol mags can only have six rounds in each one. The shooter that clears the table first wins. If nobody clears the table the winner is decided on points. Pins off the table are worth two points and pins laying down on the table are worth one point.







Youth Competitions

When:   The third Saturday of the month.   Hammer down at 3 p.m. Safety meeting at 2:45.  Practice from 2 p.m. - 2:30 pm.  All youth are invited with a well behaved adult..  We will be using the 22 Rifles from the rentals. Shooters must be accompanied by an adult.  We will have extra safety officers.

Time:  Practice and set up 2 p.m.
            Safety Meeting 2:45 Shooters must attend the safety meeting to shoot.
            Competitions starts right at 3 p.m. Contestants must be ready to shoot.
     
Fee:  $10.00 Includes rental of rifle

Ammunition:   You may bring .22 Long Rifle ammunition or purchase it from the range.  Match will be 50 rounds.

Youth must be accompanied by an adult who will support their shooter as a guide and coach during the completions.  One adult may bring and supervise 2 youths.

What to wear:  Wear comfortable clothes with a high color like a t-shirt, jeans or long pants and closed toed shoes.  NO flip flops, high heels, sandals, and low cut shirts. Shooters must be dressed appropriately  to shoot.  Safety comes first.

Protective eye and ear gear:  We have safety glasses and ear muffs.  If you would like to purchase your own we have them for sale at the shop.

Ongoing Club Matches

Regular Competitions with Local Clubs

All club competitions are open to the public.  They welcome newcomers.

SoTex Precision Rifle Club, contact Gilbert to get involved with long range precision shooting

Shooters Alley Mission  Every Monday night they have a Tactical Shoot.  Need a handgun, mag pouch and holster.  All levels are very welcome.

 Mission Skeet and Trap Shoot  Mission.  Tuesday Nights  Action Pistol.



Outdoor Carbine, Multi-Gun, Shotgun, 3 Gun and Whatever combination gun clubs think might be fun. 


Texas Carbine - Corpus Christi Handgun first Sunday of the month, Carbine third Sunday of the month, and Shotgun every 5th Sunday of the month.

Texas Carbine Pirates of Texas National Competition - Pirates of Texas National Carbine Shoot.  Corpus Christi This competition is held around February-March of every year.  This match brings in shooters from Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.  Notices will come out in late November.  You have to sign up immediately because every year they fill up by the end of December.

Pharr Rifle and Pistol -  Pharr  1st Sunday: IPSC, 2nd Sunday: Cowboy Action, 3rd Sunday: Steel Speed, 4th Sunday: Black Powder, 4th Sunday:  Youth 4-H Program (25 Yard Range)
