With hunting season quickly approaching and kids going back to school soon, we have started to conduct our Hunters Education Courses.  This course is required for every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, you must successfully complete a Hunter Education Training Course. Minimum age of certification is 9 years of age.

Many people have asked

Do I need the Hunter Education Certificate to purchase a hunting license?

No, you are not required to show your certification when you purchase a license, but proof of certification or "deferral" is required to be on your person while hunting.

So what this means is that the 1st year you go hunting you'll need to purchase a deferral and carry that all season with you while hunting. You'll also need to be accompanied by someone that HAS passed the Hunters Education Course at all times.

August 16, 2015     10:00am-2:00pm
August 23, 2015     10:00am-2:00pm
August 30, 2015     10:00am-2:00pm

    I remember going on hunting trips with my family back when I was a kid. It was always a really fun trip, but it was a lot more serious than you would think if you've never gone hunting. Hopefully this kind of thing will help people to stay as safe and responsible as possible when they're out there.

    If you need a licensed gun of your own then you must join any Firearms safety training classes in Boston and go on hunting with your children and enjoy your holidays.
